De ce sa vezi Psycho? Doar si pentru faimoasa scena "de la dush". Sau pentru ca Hitchcock e considerat maestrul suspansului. Sau pentru ca a facut in 1960 un thriller psihologic de mare actualitate. Hitchcock sustinea ca nu-i pasa de tema sau mesajul pe care-l transmite un film de-al lui, ci modul in care povestea e "spusa". Psycho a fost realizat dupa un roman (cu acelasi nume) al lui Robert Bloch care, la randul lui, a fost inspirat dintr-un caz real.
Hitchcock a avut indrazneala de a "ucide" un personaj principal in prima parte a filmului si totusi a filmat totul in alb-negru pentru a aplana efectul sangeros al scenei.
Poate fi catalogat un film horror in care vampirii, zombilaii si toti monstri au fost inlocuiti cu unul... uman. Finalul mi se pare extraordinar, cu psihiatrul care explica boala acestui Norman Bates (foarte misto interpretat de Anthony Perkins) si modul in care s-a filmat trecerea de la Norman la Mother. Un must-see, must-have! Genial!
